Which headphones/Audio Interface do you use?

I use the Audio Technica ATHM-50 since I remember but recently I got a beyer dynamic 1770 pro to get more clarity and this sound awesome, I even hear the hihat stand squeaking in the hansa live room SDX! So much detail, listening/playing sessions are pure joy.

As an audio interface I use a scarlett 414 3rd gen, it works ok and latency is great.

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro here!

Decent headphones are a must...got mine heavily reduced on Amazon Warehouse.

I always thought the ATH50 were considered comparative though, but I've never used them.

I also discovered tactile transducers (Buttkicker, Porter and Davies etc), OH MY.. Such a difference to the monitoring experience. Would highly recommend (I have the Pearl ThroneThumper by Buttkicker).

I use it on my acoustic kit too now, with a mic on the kick.

Audio interface is the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen. It's good and latest drivers seem super solid re latency on Reaper with SD3. Yet to try Cantabile, but heard good things.

I had a few Focusrite Scarlett's some years ago.
They are solid interfaces.

Now I got an Audient ID14 for a few years, and prefer that.
Not massive differences, but overall I think it's the best in that price.
Great instrument input and mixer interface on computer.
I love that the volume knob etc. is on the top. + extra 8 inputs possibility if needed (via ADAT optical plug).
No midi though, but haven't needed that yet.

Look for it used ;) On reverb.com or ebay

Note, phantom power requires using power adapter. Otherwise it's usb-powered. I guess that's standard with usb interfaces

Oh, that is annoying, thanks for the info. That might actually stop me getting one as I use a condenser quite a bit for recording and Skype drum lessons. Focusrite Scarlett delivers phantom on USB (somehow...)

Hi guys,

I use a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra, all symmetrical connections to an old LAKE PEOPLE G94 (2003) symmetrical Headphone Amp together with the DT 770 Pro. And... The first time I was like.... Woooooow.
I got I from a Studio in Hamburg., Germany.

It feels like sitting behind a real black beauty... Awesome. Mainly due to the amp, I thing.
I bought it for 120 €. Because the Headphones Output of the M-Audio was not loud enough for the DT 770.

This butt kicker thing I a very good idea!!

Haha, it looks like an auto translation issue...
I presume 'balanced' connections.

Not auto translation ... directly from german to english...

We say "symmetrische" connections...

It's "balanced"!

Sorry!
