Feature Request -Alternate Snare hits

Post by evh0u812 »

One feature I actually miss about the Megadrum was the alternate hits feature. Turning it on cycled every consecutive hit between two different notes. This would be handy in a software like Modo Drum which has notes for both left and right hand hits. Any thoughts?

What drum software are you using? The "majors" (SD, BFD, AD, SSD, Modo and more) automatically round robin snare hits in a very subtle but convincing way

SD3 lets you activate "Alternate Hits" on a per-drum basis. It's off by default for all presets though.

That's annoying. I wonder why.

The manual suggests to only enable this feature for drums that actually have "left" and "right" articulations, such as certain double kick configurations. But when you enable it regardless, it seems to me (especially on frequently hit instruments like the hat and snare) that round-robining sounds smoother. Of course, I could be imagining this.
