eDRUMin order cart and checkout

hi Rob - I am using a Chrome browser in MacOSX

I'm here trying to purchase an eDRUMin along with a MIDI EXPRESSION and also possibly a DSP Trigger once I get my questions on it sorted out
(I understand DSP Trigger does not need shipping and stuff).. But anyway for the others, yes.

So these are the steps i followed:
1) I click on Add to cart on the eDRUMin. It takes me directly to PAYPAL check out and shows $149
2) I try to add a second item, which is FEDEX shipping as I need fedex to get it shipped.
3) But now it again takes me to PAYPAL checkout but Fedex has replaced my eDRUMin in the cart
4) I only see FEDEX now.

So how do I checkout together? all the items?

Thank you!

Not sure why that happens. It shouldn't. I'll look into it. As a workaround, you can purchase the hardware first, and then purchase FedEx separately, and it'll automatically be added to your existing order.

Rob - I found a work around to this cart issue. Seems like a browser issue to me.

Actually, if I use my Safari web-browser on my Mac instead of Chrome, I'm able to add everything into the CART along with the Fedex. And that means I can checkout everything at one shot. So any moment from now I'm planning to complete the order for the MIDI EXP and eDRUMin(hope your shipping freeze is lifted now and I could get things shipped out as soon as the order is paid). I decided to get the DSP Trig software later if required.

And Rob, as we discussed earlier, I actually looked into eDRUMin in the first place only for the hihat as my Alesis Module doesn't have a continuous CC support.
Later, in these 3 or 4 days, I was trying to explore the market for a better HH pedal/Continuous Controller and found a very few.
1) the GOeDRums controller 2)the Universal Hihat controller from Drumtec 3) the Roland VH11 (Roland VH12/13 or ATV's optical pads are a luxury to have. I'm not into it as of now)

Rob, could you please assure that all the above 3 could be made to work very well with eDRUMin? And which one do you think would be seamless of the above 3 ? (I know you said that you use a VH10, but it is no more available in the market place. So i have to look into another.)

Also, I was exploring some pads from Drum-tec and I found the Hand-hammered 13" Snares impressive. So, going forward I would no more worry about my Alesis Module. So my question is, does these drumtec pad(snare here) work well with eDRUMin as these pad claim that it supports positional sensing in built (i don't know what it means exactly)?
Whereas, eDRUMin provides PS for pads which doesn't even have positional sensing in them. So, how do you see this? If in future, if I buy a drumtec snare with PS, would I have to undo anything from the eDRUMin to perfectly leverage the PS with drumtec snares? please do let me know.

Thank you!!

Let me assure you that 99% of edrum gear out there is designed to work with Roland modules. And any gear that works well with Roland modules, it going to work perfectly with an eDRUMin. In the forums, you'll see a thread about compatible hardware with eDRUMin. If you check out that thread, you won't see anyone saying that a particular pad doesn't work.

Rob

Alright Rob I do see that. And setting up everything to near perfection is the whole point that drives around in the edrum world. I do realize and accept that in a strong manner. A bad setup will definitely ruin a top of the line module or a pad. That is an irrefutable fact.

So I guess, be it the GoEdrum HH controller or the Drumtec HH controller or even the Roland VH11, these would all work for me with the eDRUMin with a good setup/calibration is what I believe.

And also in future if I would get a Hand Hammered Snare or any other pad with or without PS from a manufacturer like Drum tec... The same precise level setup/calibration applies there as well.

Alright then Rob... Thanks for being so insightful as usual and please do ship my products soon after I place the order.

I'm only worried about what percentage is going to be demanded by customs in INDIA. Hope they don't go for a kill with my package. I guess they calculate the custom tax(guess 42%) with product + shipping cost.
PS:
Any chance you deal with other products?(like Drum tec deals with many brands)
I mean can you ship a Roland VH11 or a goedrum controller along with my Audiofront package?(added I pay for that as well) If you don't deal with such, I know it may sound very absurd. Sorry to ask... But just checking. Please don't mind if you don't deal with other brands.
... Thank u!!

Hi Rob,

I placed the order finally (TranID: 0EK45409SV145792P) for the black eDRUMin and black MIDI Expression (both with a 6 ft USB Cable). Hope you will get it all shipped ASAP.

And hope you will send out an email with the tracking number too.
As it has a considerably higher shipping cost, I am a bit worried what the CUSTOM duty tax is going to be? I hope and pray it is less or not even incurred. Anyway, have to wait and see.

What is the best date by when I could expect it in my hands Rob? Honestly speaking... I just can't wait :o

One general question is does increasing the USB cable length affect the eDRUMin? For that case, any USB midi device's performance? Would there be any signal loss or LATENCY (which is perhaps the only thing I'm coming to here), any insights on this please?

Thank you once again Rob
