Custom made Switches

Post by Polyphonics »

So eDrumin has this cool feature where you can use a whole bunch of switches in place of the hihat controller, I was just wondering, would it be possible to use membrane switches as well?

To be clear, I'm not talking about plugging a trigger into the controller input, just two switches on their own. I thought this would be a way to have switches you can hit with your sticks rather than have to move your foot off the kick/clutch to hit a switch.

I can't see why membrane switches wouldn't work.

I thought about testing membrane switches with the pedal input. Interested to find out how it works for you.

Works fine. Sleeve and ring of a Roland BT1 is the membrane switch. Works like a charm if that's your thing.
