I spent 2 years getting almost nowhere with megadrum and managed to configure my snare within an hour on edrumin, so much so that I just started jamming on it and lost track of what I was supposed to be doing.
I'm thinking I might get another module when I have the cash, I have been thinking about making my kit more modular, so that I have the central rack running on megadrum (bongos, Toms 1&2, crashes, splash, kit switchers), and the wings on an edrumin each (the 'core' kit on the left; HH, snare, kick.... and on the right, ride, floor toms etc).
Who else here uses multiple edrumins? How are you finding it?
Those of you using more than 1 edrumin module, how are you finding it?

No bias though right?
But seriously, do you mount them onto the same rack? How's the crosstalk?

The day my three Edrumin boxes arrived I threw the MegaDrum away. (Not really I sold it to another sucker)
I should have given up on the MD long ago. Ive got three edrumins running my whole kit with zero crosstalk issues. Triggering is so smooth and sensitive its pretty amazing.

did you use all the 17 inputs on the MD? would you mind laying out your input list? you should have 12 right?
Re: Those of you using more than 1 edrumin module, how are you finding it?
I have four. All inputs being used to the full extent possible. No problems.
I’ve mentioned before, the only pain point with multiple devices is updating the firmware. The reason being is the software recommends not doing the upgrade over a USB hub. So you have to unplug all devices from the USB and upgrade each device one at a time with it plugged into the PC. I have it down where I can do all four in about five minutes. But since I like being on the bleeding edge I’m doing it often during the new beta releases. But I still consider this a very low priority issue and would rather have Rob working on more important things.
More is always better.
My setup. Everything is dual zone except bass and China. Ride is a 3-zone Roland type.
Green
Snare - Tom 1 - Tom 2 - Tom 3
Controller - Open
Red
Tom 4 - Tom 5 - Tom 6 - Bass/China
Controller - Open
Blue
HH 1 - Crash 1 - Splash 1 - Crash 2
Controller - HH 1
Black
HH 2 - Ride B/E - Ride Bell - Crash 3
Controller - HH 2

It changes all the time as I add and take away triggers. The latest firmware now means I can runs 4 different snares at once in Superior Drummer 3 and switch between them on the fly. This now means I dont need the side snare in that picture. 2 more free zones!!!!
So in no particular order:-
Snare - 2 Zones
Tom1 - 2 Zones
Tom 2 - 2 Zones
Tom 3 - 1 Zone
BT1 Trigger Bar - 1 Zone
Kick - 1 Zone
BT1 Trigger bar - 1 Zone
Hihat - 2 Zones
16" ATV Cymbal - 2 Zones
16" ATV Cymbal - 2 Zones
16" ATV Cymbal - 2 Zones
18" ATV Ride Cymbal - 2 Zones with bell sense
18" ATV Cymbal - 2 Zones
12 ATV Splash - 2 Zones

Tom1 - 2 Zones
Tom 2 - 2 Zones
Tom 3 - 1 Zone
BT1 Trigger Bar - 1 Zone
Kick - 1 Zone

Mylo, regarding the updating of the Edrumin units............Ive been doing it since I got them while theyre hooked up to a passive USB hub and had zero issues. I know Im not supposed to but Im a rebel!

Im sure Rob will chime in as to why but Ive had zero issues with the firmware uploading. Maybe its the chance of corruption?
