Is there anything special I need to consider for a cable splitter for the eDRUMin?

That cable is going to replicate Tip and Ring from the TRS plug to each of the 2 jacks.

If you want to *separate* the 2 zones such that zone1 goes to Tip on one cable and zone2 goes to Tip on a second cable,
then I think you need a TRS-to-TS "breakout" cable, something like this:

I have a Field 18” 3-zone ride that is setup the following way:

Output 1 is setup as a Dual Zone cymbal (piezo / switch) and handles the bow / edge. Output 2 is setup as a Mono Input and serves to trigger the bell.

Since Output 2 is essentially a 1-zone trigger I should be able to split that eDRUMin jack with the 1-zone China I have. Is this a correct assumption?

I figured if I stayed all stereo eDRUMin would figure it out.

I can't speak for eDRUMin capabilities, but it seems to me that the adapter I posted is what you want.

Mr Dudicle ist right. You need to separate the tip and ring. Actually there are some eDrum Modules, like Roland, that need a resistor between
certain points. I dont know that for the eDrumIn.

For my Alesis/FAME-like module it does quite well without those electrical components.

Thanks for the input. I’ll try the TRS => dual TS. That sounds very logical to me.

I guess what worries me Is the jack on the cymbal is a stereo jack wired to the ring and if I put a tip only cable in there the signal won’t get through.

Have you tried a standard mono cable with Output 2 (not with the eDrumin, but with your old module)? If this works, a standard Stereo-Y-Cable (e.g. https://m.thomann.de/gb/cordial_cfy_09_ ... 1578604412) will let you use both your bell zone and the China cymbal with the eDrumin.

I haven’t tried anything yet. My MegaDrum had plenty of inputs so this has never come up. The cable you are suggesting would be the equivalent to what Mister Dudicle suggested. So that’s what? Three or four votes for the stereo to dual mono. I’ll run with that and give it a try.
