Tom setup issue....sorted

Post by evh0u812 »

I'm running Triggera side mounted triggers and have the module setup for that style of trigger. Heads and rims trigger amazingly well. Really dynamic from soft to hard hits all over the mesh head. The issue I'm having is the rimshot is too loud even with that control set to its lowest. Gains for each are all the way down. There's no facility in Superior Drummer 3 to adjust articulation volumes within each drum so I'm a bit stumped. Anyone have any clues?
My snare with centre mount trigger has perfectly balanced head/rim/rimshot.

The issue is that the signal from your tom is too hot. I think the simplest solution is to try adjust the trigger so that it's just barely touching the head of your drum.

You didn't mention it, but I assume the rimshot scaler is all the way down too?

Lowered the pickups and it helped alot.
I really surprised how sensitive the head still is with a side mounted pickup only about 1mm above the bearing edge.
