After reading the manual it looks like I might be able to turn my 2-zone cymbals into “3-zone” using the bell sense feature. I have a 16” and 18” dual zone metal crash cymbals from Jobeky. With bell sense it looks like I might be able to get some bell notes out of these. And possibly do the same thing with my hi-hat.
Has anybody tried this yet?
Bell sense
Re: Bell sense
Bell sense will not work with just any cymbal. It depends largely on the physical construction of a pad. Right now the Roland CY-13R and CY-15R are properly supported. I've also heard reports that some ATV cymbals work. This is not surprising because their construction is very similar to the Roland Cymbals.
It's possible that your Jobeky cymbals would work, but I wouldn't count on it. Contact me via technical support when you get your eDRUMin and we can investigate whether adding support is going to be feasible or not.

Re: Bell sense
I’ll give it a shot when my device arrives. It definitely isn’t a showstopper for me... if it works it would be a cool bonus. And I can be a test bed for Jobeky AI triggers as well. I’ll let you know how it all goes.

Cool, thank you. I am also interested in how well Jobekey works with the eDrumin.Mylo wrote:I’ll give it a shot when my device arrives. Maybe at one point it would be even possible to create a list of pads/brands that shows how well each brand or specific pad performs with the eDrumin.
Re: Bell sense
Just to follow up on this...
It worked... but not well enough. I had to set the Bell sense pretty high and had to hit the bell hard to get it to trigger. And then if I hit the bow just right it would trigger the bell.

Thanks for the follow-up. Maybe Rob could help you with the Bell Sense function?
When you turn off Bell Sense, how well do the Jobeky trigger overall (bow and edge) with the eDrumin? Are slight nuances possible?
Best regards,
