Hey guys. I just ordered the unit today, cant wait to get it and see what the difference is to my megadrum.
Im pretty fluent with the megadrum setup and have everything dialed in almost perfectly but the hot spot on my a2e snare is still somewhat there and my hihat is only about 80% of perfect. These are the main two areas im hoping for improvement in.
Im really keen to see how the software setup handles the adjustments because the megadrum is painful.
Also looking forward to seeing if the positional sensing is better than i have now. I have 2 snares setup with center triggers so thats 2 inputs. The hihat is the 3rd. I may use the 4th for the bell of my ATV hihat to make use of all the articulations in Superior Drummer 3.
Just ordered.........
Re: Just ordered.........
Welcome and thank-you for the support. I have several users coming from Megadrum modules. From the feedback I've received, you'll be quite satisfied.
Re: Just ordered.........
When is a version with 10 or 12 jacks coming? Id be all over that and i could put the megadrum away!
Re: Just ordered.........
Received my unit yesterday. What a brilliant piece of gear. The setup is so intuitive and easy I couldn't be happier. It was worth the money just for the hi hat control. Interestingly my diy snare had a small hotspot issue with the megadrum but with the edrumin it simply isn't there. Hotspot suppression isn't even needed. Really strange.
The software is so brilliant coming from the megadrum. I'll take pretty pictures I've an excel spreadsheet any day. Lol.
I'm going to use this with my two snares, my hihat and my kick. Just have to figure out if I can split the kick trigger with my hihat bell. And get the bell to function with the hi hat controller. Bell sense doesn't work great with a 14"ATV hihat cymbal. Any ideas if this could work?

Bell Sense only properly supports the Roland CY-13R and CR-15R at the moment.evh0u812 wrote:Bell sense doesn't work great with a 14"ATV hihat cymbal. Any ideas if this could work?
I don't have any ATV gear. If you contact me via the technical support form, we might be able to figure out a way to get it working.

Re: Just ordered.........
Hey Rob......can the editor support 3 edrumin modules?
I know there's no crosstalk communications but is it possible as in the 3 modules come up for selection on the top bar?
I think I can see another 2 edrumin units in my Christmas stocking. Lol.

Just bought another 2 units. These are THAT good!
Bye Bye megadrum your editing software won't be missed.

Re: Just ordered.........
The editor supports up to 4 modules. As for getting choking from a cymbal choking using only single zone, that's currently not implemented. I know it's sort of possible to detect, but only if the choke arrives very quickly after the pad is hit. I'll look into it at some point in the future.
Re: Just ordered.........
Can't wait to get the next two units integrated into the kit.
I can now report that the bell sense works flawlessly with the 18" ATV ride cymbal. It's indistinguishable from the cymbal setup with two jacks. The bell zone ends literally dead on the edge of the bell. Zero bell triggering from the bow anywhere. It works way better than what you video shows with the cy15r.
I'll try the 16" ATVs next.
If they work as well I just gained another 4 percussion triggers!

I've improved the support for the CY-15R as well. Too busy right now to redo the video. It's on my to do list.
