Midi Mapping with SD3

Anyone else having issues using the "Superior Drummer Map" midi mapping preset?

I am using SD3 with two eDrumin 8s linked together on an A2E conversion kit (mostly Jobeky & Roland triggers).
I just got it all setup and pretty much dialed in this week - but am not getting the desired results.

For instance, my racktom1 is mapped to C2 in the eDrumin software app - but is actually triggering C#2 in SD3. So, rack1 is actually triggering crash1.

The kick drum is mapped to C1 - but is actually triggering G1 in SD3. SO, instead of the Superior kick drum - my pedal triggers a floor tom.

What gives? It does not appear to be kit-specific. I have tried several of the SD3 presets with identical results. My workaround is to rearrange the kit pieces in the SD3 software - but this is a time-consuming hassle.

You have your eDRUMin set to use the Superior Drummer map. How about Superior Drummer? What map (preset I think they call it) is it using?

Yep, if you have a custom map in SD3, then the midi notes will not match with the eDRUMin's SD3 midi notes.

I tried it with several of the SD3 factory presets. Same results.
And it's not just that the drums trigger the wrong sounds - they are triggering NOTES in SD3 that are different from the designated notes in eDrumin software.

So, none of you experienced this? eDrumin was mapped perfectly to your SD software from the getgo?

Are you using SD3 inside a DAW environment? Can you please send me a screenshot of your settings for any of your inputs in the eDRUMin control application?

For me, it was.

But SD has many notes triggering the same pad.
For myself, I cleaned (deleted) all the extra notes assigned to the same pad, and kept only the one matching the eDRUMin, because it can become a nightmare later on, when starting to add extra pads and sounds.

So, to double check, your signal path is: pad->eDRUMin input->computer via USB->SD3 app?

If you have a DAW in between, it could play with the midi. If you have a module in between, it could also play with the midi.

Ahhh, problem solved! I WAS using a custom midimap in SD3 I had setup for triggering with the Alesis Strike module. After switching to default midi mapping in SD3, all is good in the world.

Thanks for your input, everyone!
