DW Soundworks VST compatability with eDrumin?

Looks like a very good VST. Is USB the only communication needed for VSTs

Then Would be a viable vst to check out

just to clarify, midi over usb.
Unless using an interface that has midi pin in and want to keep the usb for other things.

I have been meaning to start a conversation either here or on the vdrums forum to find out what Superior Drummer 3 edrummers might be changing to improve libraries/kits for live drumming.
This thought started years ago when the drummer for a friend's band brought over his TD-11 to try it with my A2E kit. One comment he made was that, although the SD3 kits were very good sounding in a "studio/recording way", he preferred the less detailed but increased punch of the samples in his TD-11.
I'm mentioning this here in the DW Soundworks thread to find out if it has more of that "drum module sound"
