I've noticed that German customs (Zott) have been returning some of my orders citing an EU regulation requiring e-commerce platforms to have a European presence. They are doing this to protect "European consumers from hazardous products", but really it amounts to protecting big business.

My estimate is that about 10% of orders to Germany have been returned in the past 3 months.

If you really want the product and are willing to cover the shipping expense (about $15 USD) if the item does not make it through customs, then l'm willing to accept your order.

Just to be clear, the eDRUMin 4 costs 159 USD. If the order got returned to me, I would refund you 144 USD.

Hi guys,

really!?

There tons of chinese cheap trashy crap shipped around the world and the eDRUMin should be a hazardous product.
Man!

This is the website:

https://www.zoll.de/DE/Fachthemen/Verbo ... _node.html

I would try to get someone of the German customs on the phone or email.
Otherwise ... I have some contacts in Switzerland, if that helps, I don't know...

Greetings

I'm also from Germany:

Ordered an edrumin4 back in November 2023 which unfortunately didn't make it through customs. It was returned and rob immediately made a refund. (thanks again!)

However I'm very happy to say that I received my edrumin10 just today! Ordered it back on 26th of august so shipping took just a bit over 3 weeks. Customs fee which I had to pay at delivery was 74,24€.

Really happy to finally call one of these awesome devices my own!

Hope that helps my German edrumin-friends!

I am curious, how many eDRUMins we have in Germany ...
I have four of theses fantastic devices - 4+4+10+8. The eDRUMin8 still got 6 free inputs. I have to collect more pads. :-)
I don't know it any more, but I guess, I bought the 2nd eDRUMin4 right before the eDRUMin10 was released.

Short experience report of an order to Germany for those who are interested.
Edrum4 ordered on 30.09.24
it was delivered by DHL on 11.10.24.
Customs duty was 33,16€
Everything went smoothly.
