DDrum4 module compatability

Post by kjb3022 »

Hi everyone, what an amazing tool you made Rob,I have 2 Ddrum4 SE modules that have survived loaded with samples from long ago that I would like to use with an eDRUMin 8 (to trigger many different pads/hats/cymbals) which I have requested notification in Sept. to purchase. My question is because those modules have midi in/out and the 8 has midi out ,should I wait for the 10 in 2024? -thanks for it all Rob, ken

I think you would be fine with just using MIDI out from the eDRUMin to the DDrum, you just need to make sure there's no crosstalk between pads connected to the eDRUMin and pads connected to the DDrum.

Hi again,Rob are you familiar with Ddrum modules? if not then you need to look at the Proboards forum under sound file editing and read the 4 pages about how they cracked the sample code over the past 10 years and now have given the world those beautiful sounds from all the ddrum's modules and made them easily accessible to all and completely free.even the forum doesn't require you to join to read it.If you ever wanted amazing sounds for your drums please take a look.Ken
