Can I control two hi hat pads from one hi hat controller?

Pretty much all in the question, if not I guess I’ll get an x hat and just set it to what I want.
I’d be surprised if you couldn’t do what I’m suggesting though…

Yes, you can. You can have as many hihat pads as you want. You just need to set the pad function of those pads to 'Hihat 1', assuming your hihat controller is plugged into the first pedal input.
