VH 13 issues with ED4.

Hi guys, i'm having an issue setting up my VH 13 correctly with the ED4. Basically when i press the hi hat pedal it doesnt close/open smoothly, it just kind of jumps straight from closed to open, and vice versa. I've got a video explaining what I mean here:

I'm trying to very slowly press the pedal but in the software it just jumps rapidly once i reach a certain point.
it also gets stuck in the closed position in the software sometimes, even when the hi hat pedal is lifted. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Have you run the calibration? If the RIGHT SIDE of the green box is too far left it will open too quickly. Also, my ed4 freezes on the hihat control display from time to time too. It still works, just doesn't move in the display. The only solution I'm aware of is a reboot and restart the software.
