As like many of you, we are all on the quest for the best hi-hat solution. I noticed this new 2 piece solution from Lemon recently showed up on a few review sites and online.
Anyone try one out yet?!? I figured it was worth a shot to test out. Ive tried VH-10,VH-11, jobeky, etc. etc. But never a proper two piece so I figure I would give this a shot! 129usd looks nice until you realise the shipping fees from Alibaba. 300$ cdn all in. Hope its worth it. Prices are through the roof on any OEM roland stuff nowadays, and the used market is full of beaten gear where you dont know if you are going to get a proper functioning unit.
Appears to be a VH12/13 clone.
Mine should be here within a few weeks to test out.
My one sticking point is that I have the original Edrumin10 rev 1 with the design before Rob increased the hi hat resolution. I dont love knowing that there is a better solution potentially for fine tuning the subtle nuances on these setups. I wish I could compare to see the difference. Rob, with this new solution would it be advisable to order an in stock Edrumin 4 with the new buffer setup for better performance??!? Or would you venture to say it would be next to impossible to notice any difference?!

I have the Lemon 2-piece hihat (also selling them through Vybe Drums in Europe) and the feeling is very good. Much better than a single piece hihat.
The Lemon 2-piece hihat is compatible with the VH11 controller. I replaced my VH11 controller with the Lemon on my 2Box module without changing any settings and it worked right out of the box.
I don’t have an eDrumin but I expect that the eDrumin supports the VH11.

Just a little follow up. After a few weeks of using this hi-hat with the Edrumin 10 unit I can say it's pretty darn good!
I try and put it thru a bunch of scenarios and after a little tweaking with the levels andsettings in Edrumin and Superior Drummer 3 I can deft say this is the best hi hat solution I have tried to date. Essentially a poor man's VH-13 .
If anyone is on the fence I would suggest trying it out.
