Currently using one module with an iconnectivity mio midi to usb cable.

No other alternative is to purchase another iconnectivity mio midi to usb cable?

Really miss having a usb port for midi. Mio Cables are expensive

I'm having trouble understanding why you would need or want to use that iConnect adapter.

I thought the usb port was for firmware downloads. Didnt realize Usb is sending midi.

So what is the 5pin DIN midi out used for? Blend with other devices that do not have usb inputs ?

The MIDI port is so that the unit can be used without a computer by connecting the MIDI port to the MIDI in of another drum module.

Aaah gotcha… all makes sense now.
