eDRUMin version 2 BETA
Posted: Mon Feb 28, 2022 1:23 pm
eDRUMin 2.0 is now available for testing. As with any major update, you can downgrade to version 1.6, but your device will be factory reset in the process. To properly downgrade on macOS, you'll need to delete the eDRUMin control application from the Applications folder and then reinstall version 1.6. Be sure to save a device preset before updating so you can restore if you need to. Version 2.0 has already been extensively tested in the alpha phase. Thank-you to everyone who participated.
Questions and Answers
Can I use version 1 presets with version 2 firmware?
Yes. Version 1 presets will be updated on the fly (actual file is not changed) before it gets sent to the device. If the input a preset is being sent to is setup as a ‘Drum Map Kit Piece’, it will remain setup to use the drum map. You’ll need to change it to ‘Note Banks’ before or after sending the preset to have it use the Notes assigned in the preset.

Breaking Changes
New Features- The processing for the Hihat pedal note detection has changed a bit. You will need to make small adjustments to your gain and splash sensitivity controls, but it's well worth the minor adjustments you'll need to make.
- The link control has been removed from the Pedal Editor. Inputs are assigned to the Hihat pedal using the ‘Hihat Cymbal’ pad function (shown right). Your input that serves as you hihat cymbal should be automatically setup during the firmware update.
- Also, in version 2, when using the Hihat Levels Mode, the number of levels is fixed at 8. I probably still need to adjust the drum maps to accommodate this change.
- Drum Maps / Drum Map Editor
