eDRUMin with Audio Interface

Hello Forum,

I'm new here and here's my question. My apologies but I'm still kind of green.
I'm using a converted acoustic drumkit with eDRUMin 10 and SD3 on my PC.
My eDRUMin module goes to my PC, where SD3 software is, and from the same PC it exits into a mixer where my headphones and other audio sources are connected. The sound I hear from my headphones is perfect, but when I want to record some tracks, it doesn't sound that great.
Should I use an audio midi interface to get a better overall sound or that is not the problem?
Thank you

What are you using to record?

I'm just using Garageband on my Mac, nothing fancy :)

If you are running SD3 as an AU Instrument plugin in Garageband, and you are loading the same SD3 preset that you're playing in standalone, it should sound exactly the same.

If you're using the built-in Garageband drummer sounds however, it's going to sound very different, and quite possibly awful.

Yes I'm using SD3 not the Garageband drummer. I think the problem is that I use a PC with SD3 and a Mac to record. I should move everything and use only one computer.

You record from the PC to the Mac..

Try just playing a YouTube video on the PC and see if you can record the audio from that ok to the Mac, will help identify the location of your issue.

Thank you, I'll try that.
