I had a quick look and didn't see any issues.
Perhaps you can explain the precise steps needed to reproduce the bug. For example, this is what I did and was unable to reproduce the issue.
1. Open the control application.
2. Save a device preset for ED10.
3. Change the custom note values for input 1.
4. Save a new device preset for ED10.
5. Load snapshot from step 2.
6. Load snapshot from step 4.
In this test, the changes between the two presets were properly loaded.

Hi Rob, thanks. Here is what happens;Rob wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:08 amI had a quick look and didn't see any issues.

1. I load a device preset that i want to tweak (the existing presets, that were created in a previous session prior to this problem, seem to load fine)
2. I change some setting for various pads
3. I go to device presets and create a new one (I have tried both custom and no custom settings)
4. I double click on the newly created device snapshot
5. What loads is a generic preset with none of my settings, all pad revert from dual mono to stereo pads with the mesh head drum icon, I had them set to cymbal.
6. If I go back to the previous device preset all my settings correctly load
7. If I try again (after restarting the control app, sometimes it will work and my settings all appear to be saved. It isn't like the control app or the pc has been running long, as i usually shut it all off between usage.
8. If I update the previous preset that seems to always work. but I like to create a new preset each time i work on it so I can go back no former if I mess things up.
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
Thanks for the excellent description. If you have a chance, could you export the preset from step 1.
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
I was able to reproduce the issue on a dual mon input. Thanks.
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
Changes in build 11
- Fixed an issue saving device presets
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
thanks for fixing that Rob. Do you mean that once I update to 2.2.0.11 none of my presets will load right anymore? Not sure what to do if that is the case?
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
I'm saying that any presets that didn't load properly in the last few builds, will continue to not load properly. Any presets that did load properly, will work fine. The bug I fixed affected new presets saved in version 2.2.0.
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
Great! thanks for clarifying that.
I have one other thing that I want to make sure I understand: The save button does not update the preset right? It only updates the edrumin device?
So the only way to update a preset is to use the overwrite button on the preset page right?
But if you create a new preset it will include any changes you made to the loaded preset right?
I just found myself not being sure about these functions and I was, for a while, using the save button thinking I was saving the changes I made to the loaded preset. But then noticed that didn't seem to work. I am pretty sure I understand the way it works now but verification from you would be helpful. And since it is not so intuitive (to me anyway) I bet others who see this will be saved from the mistakes I have made. Thanks again for taking care of the preset problem, Mbira
Re: eDRUMin version 2.2 BETA available
Changes in build 12
- Fixed a bug that could cause USB flash drives to not open properly or work slowly.
- Footswitches that are assigned to control banks changes will now better synchronize with changes via the UI and changes to the selected input.
