I'm not sure if you charge extra for tips like this, but this worked for me today. I adjusted my VH10 such that my own personal "normal" closed pedal pressure triggered the EZDRUMMER2 "closed" articulation (was about 114-116, and in EZD2 the HH curve was set to "2"). When i pressed with my toe the pedal read 127 and I got the "tight" articulation. So perfect. However, chic and splash was not great. So I read this forum post and I dropped my cymbal down to just the top of the plunger, and I switched to using my heel for the splash and toe for the chic. Perfect triggering. Very happy with the feel.Rob wrote:No, I don't. Those markings are misleading. Adjusting that knob affects the maximum distance that plunger can be pressed. If you turn it too far in the counterclockwise direction, the plunger will bottom out early. You can actually hear the higher pitched tone as the plunger reaches the end of its travel. What you want instead is the bottom of the cymbal to 'impact' the top to the controller before the plunger reaches the end of it's travel, which results in more of a thud tone.
By setting this properly, you will get varying degrees of 'closed' depending on how much pressure you use. It's also important if you want to be able to use the 'impact' method of detecting the hihat 'chck' articulation.
