I wanted to double check what I’m see after updating from 1.4.0.26 to 1.4.0.28. I ran the installer for 1.4.0.28 and it installed with no problem. When I open the app there is no notice for a firmware update, but instead the screen says Current Firmware 1.4.0.26 Latest Firmware 1.4.0.26. So was .27 and .28 just control software update? Is there a way to verify what control software version is on the computer? Looks like the screen only tells me what is on the unit, and not what is on the computer.

That's correct. No changes to the firmware in the last 2 builds.

Another random crash. Wasn't interacting with the app; nothing else was affected. FWIW, this is a dedicated machine, only other apps running were SD3 standalone and Safari (with this thread open.)

Thanks for continuing to send the crash logs. I've left the app running on my mac Mini for days on end without a crash, but I will keep trying. The logs show that the app crashes inside some macOS functions. It's likely an issue with my code, but it's not immediately apparent what the issue is.

Yeah, I'm leaving the app open pretty much all of the time, even if I'm not interacting with it. Not sure if that's a typical use case scenario, but I figure it's of interest to you. Usually when these crashes happen, I'm not even aware, I just look up to switch out a snare in SD3 or something and I see the crash report.

Again, it's another obscure crash. I have had the control application running 2 days now running on my mac mini which out a crash. Are any other mac users seeing these crashes?

It might be worth looking into that USB cable? How long is it? With long cable lengths, there can be signal integrity issues (weather using a powered hub or not). As the cable length increases, more noise can enter the cable, and the edges of the data bits get less well defined. Active repeater cables are often used in long runs because they can maintain the signal integrity. I'm not saying that's the likely cause, but it's worth investigating, especially if it turns out that others aren't seeing these crashes.

I wish I could play enough to be a good data point for you. I have not seen a crash in the background. I’m on Catalina.

You're every bit a data point. Thanks.
