eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Testing the ATV 14 hihat with the beta and the edrumin10, I found the pedal setting works better than the stand option, the boxes don't do nothing for me in BFD3, fast tempo chicks work without extraneous sounds, only issue is when playing a splash I always hear the chick sound first and then the splash... need to play more with the pedal editor settings...
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Not sure if this is a bug, but when I installed build 4, it auto linked input 1 to pedal 1 (I use 1 for my kick, so had to change it) and when upgrading from build 4-6, it then automatically linked pedal 2 to input 1, even though I have nothing in pedal 2 (and input 3 is my hat, already linked to pedal 1).
Fast stepping fix in build 6 works brilliantly and using this instead of the other options allows transmutation as expected. I'm now wondering if the other 2 check boxes are necessary anymore? Whilst interesting, they might cause confusion. IMO with the fast stepping fix, they're now superfluous for SD3 users, but there might be other use cases for them...?

Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
I'd be interested to see if it's even possible to disable the initial chick sound, as I think a foot splash is detected as a pedal close followed by immediate open. Might be beyond the limitations of edrums! Happy to be proved wrong.lalo wrote:only issue is when playing a splash I always hear the chick sound first and then the splash
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
It should take about twenty seconds. If you close the application while it says waiting, a file with some diagnostic information called MEC_log.txt will be copied to your desktop. If you email that to support at audiofront dot net, i'll take a look.Iskulaatikko wrote:I’m trying to install this but it keeps just getting stuck in waiting...
First time it failed and i had to downgrade to 1.2 and install things again, now i’m trying a second time. My macbook has been acting up today so could be just on my end, it’s been slow in certain tasks anyway.
How long should the firmware upgrade take on average? My mac was taking forever to install the control software too so my disk may be busted or something...
First i was afraid that i bricked the whole thing as it lost connection for a while. I’ll let it run and i’ll just go to bed. See if it works in the morning. I think it’s just my mac being slow...
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
That's exactly what happens. First the closed pedal note is sent, and if the pedal opens fast enough, a splash is sent. No way around it.MWJT42 wrote:I'd be interested to see if it's even possible to disable the initial chick sound, as I think a foot splash is detected as a pedal close followed by immediate open. No, but maybe at some point if the future.monospace wrote:Is there a way to duplicate banks or do I have to manually recreate my mappings for each?

The point of that control is to eliminate that bit of 'realism'. I'll increase the time eDRUMin waits before resending CC in the next build and hopefully that'll be gone altogether.monospace wrote:With none of the checkboxes checked? Yes, I can, but every so often there's a hint of a splash mixed in, probably because of my sloppy technique. It adds to the realism.lalo wrote:Are you using SD3? can you do fast tempo chicks without hearing anything else in between?monospace wrote: Again, no real opinion on the special checkbox options. I tried them, they seem to work as advertised, but they're not for me or my playing style.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Just getting clarification here... my 2 eDRUMin10s arrived today. I connected device A straight the computer and then device B to the host of device A. Both devices displayed a need to update the firmware. Device A went just fine. Then I clicked on device B but I couldn’t get the firmware update page to display.
Can I update the firmware of the hosted device... in this case device B, when connected via the host port?

I'll admit that I'm thoroughly confused by what people are requesting here. On an acoustic hat, when you play a chick, then release the pedal, you will still hear the hats sizzle as they move. Maybe not if your hats are completely level, and that's the effect people were asking for? Dead silence after a chick? I've always angled my hats so that sounds weird to me, and the current behavior in 1.3 (without any of the new options checked) sounds great.Rob wrote: that bit of 'realism'. Maybe add a hihat angle control?

Version 1.3.0.6
I have device A plugged into computer, device B connected to host of device A.
1. All I have connected to device A is my snare drum in input 1. It is set has a mesh center piezo pad. When I start the controller software the icon says it is a hi-hat.
2. I changed device A to color red but the icon stays black.
3. As stated above when I click on device B I can’t bring up the firmware page to change the color of the device or to update the firmware.
