I just made one small change to how the velocity of pedal notes are calculated. Should make the velocity response more natural without needing too much tweaking with the velocity curve.

Hi Rob,
as promised ill update bout ur suggestion the other day, so sorry i was late respond, got to take care some other first
So here it is:
1. I try to take off the usb hub, i connect 1 ED4 to ED8 with 3 meter ordinary usb cable cable directly , the other ED4 i connecting to USB 3 port on PC with 5 meters USB Cable (same cable specification for connecting ED8 to PC).
im using AMD ryzen 5 2600 with 6 cores/12 thread, 32Gb DDR4, 2 nvmes, and 500watt silverstone PSU. my PC got 8 usb ports which all used (including 1 usb 2 for ED8 and 1 usb 3 for ED4).
im using lemon T950 kit(HH, Snare+HXM NL-1 Bar trigger, 2hitom, 2 floor tom n a kick pad, 2 crash, 1 ride, 1 splash and 1 china) all inserted into EDs to trigger Superior drummer 3
2. ive been tweaking around this morning from 7 am till bout 7 hours long, and found:
a) i got no freezing issue at all like before, but i do have to re-upgrade EDC 2.3.1.9 four times (once at first, n the others while tweaking around)
b) after im setting my pad, i always save as new user preset on EDC, likewise on SD3 preset, only if ihave to mapping positional sensing, but when i restart my PC, and try to open SD3, The user presets I saved on EDC became a mess (i have to remapping the pad, such as the hi hat suddenly cange to BT1 preset.. or center piezo meshpad, the treshold increased it self... all my setting were changed)... so i must to start all over again.
3.Also in SD3 i found 2 midi named edrumin black, one is automatically choosed the other one i must to choose manually tho i hav clicked save in SD3.. very annoying honestly)
any clues bout these? thanks before (i tried to PM u bout this.. but not authorized Rob)

Update the firmware? Which device? Update the control application? I don't understand.

Saving a preset saves the preset to your computer, not the device. So if you save a preset and the power cycle the device, your settings will not be saved on the device unless you have the 'Auto Save' turned on Do you have auto save enabled? You can load your preset from the preset manager and click 'save' if you want the settings to be stored on the device.

You can change the 'color 'of one of your devices so that your computer can differentiate them.

EDC still receive signal from my hits, just not sending to SD3... when i check EDC.. the orange (!) shows up again i've to reupdating again, n lost of my unsaved tweaking (thats four time happened to me this morning)
Thanks for ur advice to always turn ON autosave ( i did turn it off n click save manualy to avoid miss setting from trial n error since i dont know how to undo my last changes)
thats will b auto save ON means save to device n PC... save preset means save to PC only... CMIIW... just knew it now.
Can u plz explain how my saved presets change it self when reopening? plz teach me how to not happen again? thanks in advance

On which device did the orange (!) sign come back on? The ED8, the ED4 plugged into the ED8, or the ED4 plugged directly into your computer?

Which device stopped sending MIDI? The ED8, the ED4 plugged into the ED8, or the ED4 plugged directly into your computer? Or was it all 3 devices?

I think its ED8 who stop sending midi then show orange (!) after firmware update done.
