eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Go to bed and I'll see if I can a better solution. Thanks for the feedback.

as I said: "I thought it was just a cross-talk issue and I haven't bothered with dialling any of that in ..."MWJT42 wrote:Interesting that's it edge only. Does adjusting the crosstalk (x-talk) knob affect this behaviour at all?jacko wrote: If I hit the bass drum and the hi-hat edge simultaneously I get no hi-hat.
and I won't get a chance to work on this for a few days
so the answer is I don't know yet, but I'll be working on the ED10 and on the latest beta when I do get to it
(but thanks)

Either way, I think the integration with SD3 is weakest part right now of the edrum10, once setup is great but the manual is not that comprehensive and SD3 alone is not plug and play, certainly for a beginner looking to get one edrumi 10 will feel overwhelmed by all the options. For instance me I still cannot comprehend why the SD3 map sometimes just change when changing kits. I thought I had everything set up but I change to another preset and the mapping was gone...monospace wrote:Okay, the one thing I did not try and now I feel stupid:
I restarted Superior Drummer.
Everything is fine.
It's 5AM here in New Jersey. I should go to bed.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Agreed that I should aim for easier integration with SD 3. I should make SD 3 the default drum map and have the various inputs preset for different kit pieces in SD3.
All in time.
All in time.

Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
I haven't finished catching up on this thread but want to immediately write you that I did get random drop outs that it turns out weren't random. What happened is my kick was plugged into input 1. The hi-hat pedal link defaulted to that input and I wasn't aware of that fact. Sometimes it didn't trigger. Once I correctly linked the hi-hat pedal to input 3 I was getting some seemingly random non triggers of my hi-hat edge and bow hits. I then lowered the hi-hat crosstalk and no more missing hits.MWJT42 wrote:Anyone else experiencing random drop outs lately?
Occasionally a random kick, hat or tom won't register at all. Not sure if the cross talk default has increased in one of the later builds, or if there is something else that might be causing it. I can't seem to reliable make the issue appear unfortunately.
Could just be my DIY triggers are failing, but seems unlikely in multiple pads and in my goedrum hat pad too.

Do you use VST host software or play directly into SD? Cantabile has a mode that saves everything so if you save with a certain midi map and then subsequently modify that map in SD when you load that kit from Cantabile will have the older midi map.lalo wrote:Either way, I think the integration with SD3 is weakest part right now of the edrum10, once setup is great but the manual is not that comprehensive and SD3 alone is not plug and play, certainly for a beginner looking to get one edrumi 10 will feel overwhelmed by all the options. I think even when using just the SD3 itself without a host kits are linked to midi maps which can be saved separately from the kit save. I believe a "Project" would probably bring you both the kit and the midi map as you have saved.

Ah! So is mine.dsteinschneider wrote:my kick was plugged into input 1.
Rob, could this make a difference...?
When I get a chance, I test and see if I get any improvement.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
When an input is linked to the Hihat, there will be crosstalk cancellation between the two.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Does using input no. 1 (for anything non-HH) have any particular significance that could be causing issues?
(if the HH is linked correctly elsewhere...)

When I’m just playing I use it in standalone, just when I record I use it in logic or cubase, and yeah, I have saved my default preset with the drums correctly mapped but if I change presets suddenly the cymbals mapping are completely wrong or gone altogetherdsteinschneider wrote:Do you use VST host software or play directly into SD?
