Just updated to build 36, got the dreaded "unsaved settings will be lost" screen when trying to apply the update to the ED4 on my host port. Nothing happened when clicking OK, got a crash when clicking Cancel. Upon restart of the Control App, update seems to have gone through regardless. Report attached.
Very frustrating. I can probably prevent the crash by disabling 'ok' and 'cancel' after one of them is clicked, but that still leaves that dialog open. I've spent so much time on trying to figure this one out.....very frustrating.

I think I found the suspect. A probable fix will be included in the next build.

Alas, still got the hung Confirmation Dialog. This time, none of the buttons did anything, but I didn't crash either.

I've never seen the red lines connecting the two cymbal inputs. What does that mean?

Could be a bug. On ED4 lines connecting to inputs indicate that the first one is set to 3-Zone Roland or Metal cymbal pad type.

So I purchased and just received a new ED4R3. I really like it BTW. Very cool with the metal case. Originally that ED4R2 I took a screenshot of had two HH cymbals as the inputs now linked by a redline. I did not reset the inputs. I just loaded user preset I had for the rubber cymbals I replaced the HH cymbals with. After loading the presets I changed from HH cymbal to drum kit pieces then the desired drum kit piece. (I moved the HH cymbals to the ED4R3 since that unit has the slightly improved pedal input).

BTW - V2 made changing my set up from ED10 and an ED4 to ED10 and ED4 quantity 2 super easy. I moved a bunch of inputs around and it was very easy to remap stuff.

First, I want to note that the hi hat control was my favorite aspect of my eDRUMin. I could get the most exquisite control out of my Mimic Pro's hi hats - better in fact than the control I could obtain plugging my hi hat controller directly into the hi hat control jack of the Mimic itself.

However, with the new build I'm getting very strange hi hat behavior with the Mimic. This occurs with both my Roland FD-9 and my FD-7. When I depress the controller to the point that the cymbals would be closing, I get not one, but two chick sounds on the way down (almost as if a flam is being played). When I slow down the rate, the two chick sounds become further apart. When I connect either of these controllers to the hi hat controller input jack of the Mimic, this phenomenon doesn't happen. (I get the normal single chick directly at the point where the Mimic's yellow line is crossed, which is registering that the cymbals are closing at that point.)

I have tried swapping out the TRS cable with brand new ones, and it still happens. It happens with both my FD-9 and my FD-7 pedals. The real/larger problem is that it's now messing up the playability of these hi hat controllers altogether. I can't get smooth open/closed transitions, as it seems when one or the other chick sounds is triggered it messes up the behavior of the hi hat.

Rob, I know you have a lot on your plate, but this is an essential fix as far as I'm concerned. I'll have to sideline my eDRUMins until it's back to normal.

Thank you!

EDIT: I'm going to install v 1.6 to see if the issue goes away and I get the old hi hat control/performance back.

I'm not seeing an issue. Can you post your hihat settings?
