Just tried this out Rob. Works like a charm!!! Not sure if you wanna leave this in for the future but I certainly wouldnt complain.

Edrumin is running pretty good for me right now. I really cant complain. Ive actually been PLAYING and practicing lately rather then tweaking!

Thanks for the good work.

There's an extremely faint checkbox called "Disable Compatibility Check". Hold down SHIFT and ALT and then click it and it will become visible. Use at own risk. I'm attaching a screenshot. SHIFT-ALT-Click in the red rectangle.

Please bare in mind, that there likely really is an issue with your pad. Either your BELL membrane switch is damaged, or there's a short circuit between to piezo (BOW) and switch (BELL).

First off I assume the slave TD-17 module is capable of receiving after touch messages via USB MIDI in. With that being said I found today that cymbal chokes (aftertouch) were not working. I did not have have the laptop plugged in. I was using the eDRUMin 10 as a stand-alone to the slave TD-17 via the USB Port. I tried it with the laptop and app open. Same issue. No cymbal choking.

BTW-I connected my alesis strike multipad MIDI out to the eDRUMin MIDI in port. I set up a mini kit on the multipad and used the kick and HH controller (VH10) on the eDRUMin to trigger the slave TD-17 (using the USB HOST port). It worked beautifully. Very happy with the results.

Yup... another bug. It'll be fixed for build 14.

Changes in build 14
  • Fixed aftertouch not being sent to USB host port.
  • Fixed issues using a pedal to change banks of devices connected to USB host port.

Almost fixed. Aftertouch messages are sent via USB HOST port but only after a bow hit. After an edge hit the cymbals are not muted, so only after a bow hit is the cymbal muted.

Confirmed fixed in the TD-17. I checked bow, edge and bell for all my cymbals (VH-10, CY-5, CY-12C, CY-15R and CY-13R) with a slave TD-17 module. Choke hits worked and choking the cymbals all worked.

See attached screenshot for a pedal editor error. A VH10 controller is pedal input 1, and an Alesis RealHat controller is pedal input 2. I had my VH10 set up correctly, and a BOSS FS-6 as the second Footswitch. However, I switched out the FS-6 for the RealHat controller. The auto sense knew the RealHat controller was a HH pedal, but I didn't want that. So I shut off auto sense and manually selected a switch. I left the VH10 alone. I was using the eDRUMin stand alone (no app) after this and all worked well. Last night I opened up the app and noticed that pedal 2 had a weird indication of bank "44" plus the Min and Max had switched from 1 to 2, to 1 to 4. However, when I operated the pedal the banks still worked 1 to 2. So I called it a display error and told myself I'll take a screenshot the next day. This morning when I went to take the screenshot the following happened:

I powered on the eDRUMin10 and connected to the app. Pedal 1 switched from a HH controller (auto sense is off) and had the weird "44" display error. Pedal 2 did not have the error. The link between VH10 cymbal and the HH controller was lost. I took the screenshot, and then manually selected HH pedal for pedal 1. All of my settings came back, relinked with the VH10 cymbal. All is well. I tried to reproduce a couple times just now. I haven't been able to, but I only tried for a couple minutes.

I understand that in the morning, the VH-10 was set to footswitch and 'sense' was off. Was 'sense' on for the VH-10 before?
