Thanks again Rob. That response was swift!!!

This is my Plan for my Electronic Drum Kit:
The Alesis extra CC pedal goes inside the MIDI Expression in substitution as a 2nd kick (I understand it is of course beaterless).

The GoEDRUM CC mounted on a hihat stand will go inside the eDRUMin's CC jack on the back and I will also plug my SNARE into one of the front jacks of the eDRUMin and utilize positional sensing -Hope the Alesis pads work for PS? (rest of the pads remain on my Alesis Nitro drum module).

Will buy extra dual zone cymbals (probably 3) in near future and make use of the unused 3 slots of my eDRUMin for some crashes, splashes or china.

Rob, does my plan sound workable?? Please do let me know

Also, do you mean to say the single CC jack at the back of the eDRUMin and the MIDI EXPRESSION are not exactly similar, though they may appear to be? In other words, the eDRUMin can handle peripherals like the GOEdrum CC more efficiently as eDRUMin is made for the Electronic drums, is my understanding correct?

And the MIDI Expression is made keeping in mind other MIDI instruments and their Expression needs like the keyboard, Guitar expresssion, Breath Controller and other midi devices, correct?
Please confirm.
Thank you!!

Your plans sounds good.

The pedal input on the eDRUMin and MIDI Expression are pretty much the same,, but eDRUMin does a better for hihat controllers on hihat stands. I'm not going to go into the details, but you can search these forums and check the manual for all the details.

After reading again, you're still not understanding that the Geo hihat control and the hihat cymbal need to be both connected to the eDRUMin. The reason is because when you hit the cymbal, the hihat controller moves up and down and this movement needs to be filtered. If you don't have them both connected to the eDRUMin, you might get artifacts when you hit the hihat cymbal as the position of the pedal will bounce. Furthermore, quick movements of the hihat pedal can cause you hihat to trigger when you don't want it to. When both are connected to the eDRUMin, these unwanted triggerings of the hihat and movements of the hihat controller are all filtered out, giving you a much better playing experience. Does that make sense?

Oh I couldn't wait more to use PS on the snare and CC on the hi-hats. I guess my drumming experience would transform to a more organic feel, which was held for long from me!!!
Great to hear my plan works finally...Many thanks for affirming that on your previous response.

Well noted your point in your latest response on the GOeDrums CC to be ALWAYS connected to the eDRUMin along with the HH Cymbal pad. IT is true as it involves more complex mechanism than a static HH pad.
Still, I will have 2 more jacks on the eDRUMin for 2 additional crash cymbals which is still great!!!.

Like you said, I will also explore the eDRUMin forums to enhance my hi-hat playing experience.

Also, I know the Roland VH11 would be a good option to look for, but it comes with 7 or 8 times more cost. So, I am not considering it for now.

Do you suggest any other manufacturer's CC of note? Which is (in Price Range) between the GOeDRUM CC and the Roland VH11 CC? (I do know it has 2 zone HH pad and obviously get more HH articulations out of SD3). What is my best bet, should be looking for something better than GoEDrum CC?

Sorry for being an absolute noob here all throughout the discussions in this thread :-( And thanks again for all the help and suggestions.

Thank you!!

I have a VH-10 and I can't complain. I've used static hihat controllers in the past and I could never go back.

Seems so true.. The Roland VH10 & 11 are good than the GoEDrums CC. But defnitely not for the cost of the Roland stuff.

Thanks again for all your guidance swift responses to queries and for these great products at a low cost.

Best pre-sales support ever..!!! Thank u!!!

Will order within a couple of days the MIDI EXPRESSION & eDRUMin ... Thank you for restoring the 'add to cart' button too in the website :-)

Will recommend to my musician friends definitely and will also come back soon for my second eDRUMin !!!
