I just don't have control over how a hub operates, or what devices are consuming bandwidth on it. Updating the firmware requires a bit more power and a steady data stream, so it's better safe than sorry.

And it really isn’t an issue... except during beta testing. :D

Definitely in the “nice to have but technically not possible” column.

So for those of us who use powered hubs it should be ok?

I’ve mentioned before, the only pain point with multiple devices is updating the firmware. The reason being is the software recommends not doing the upgrade over a USB hub. So you have to unplug all devices from the USB and upgrade each device one at a time with it plugged into the PC. I have it down where I can do all four in about five minutes. But since I like being on the bleeding edge I’m doing it often during the new beta releases. But I still consider this a very low priority issue and would rather have Rob working on more important things. :D

More is always better. :D

My setup. Everything is dual zone except bass and China. Ride is a 3-zone Roland type.

Green
Snare - Tom 1 - Tom 2 - Tom 3
Controller - Open

Red
Tom 4 - Tom 5 - Tom 6 - Bass/China
Controller - Open

Blue
HH 1 - Crash 1 - Splash 1 - Crash 2
Controller - HH 1

Black
HH 2 - Ride B/E - Ride Bell - Crash 3
Controller - HH 2
colours of the rainbow, I would need 4 also to match my MD inputs (I'm very glutton for inputs).

Why do you need two hihats? I'm currently working on using a spare CC input (on my SPD pads) to create a shaker, using Bome to translate CC into notes, but I'm not good with scripting so it's going to take some time, I should update you when I've figured it out.

Are you the guy who uses Jobeky cymbals? May I see them? I'll share a pic of mine

So two hi-hats. My arms and legs are conflicted. I write and eat left handed... I’m left hand dominant. But I play sports right handed and right footed. Sitting down at a drum set all my limbs wanted to lead. :D So I decide to embrace opened handed drumming and be as ambidextrous as I can be. My set is not perfectly symmetrical. The drums are close but the cymbals are not. But it works for me.

Overhead shot of my setup. All cymbals and hi-hats are Jobeky. The splash (2-zone) and China are Field. I added a Yamaha FC7 pedal today. I have many plans for it.

Ha, I'm like semi-ambidextrous where I can do anything both handed at first but settle on a side once it becomes muscle memory. Naturally I picked my right hand for musical instruments knowing the pains of southpaws.

Cool Cymbals, here's my kit currently, but I'm definitely feeling like I should break it into 3 separate modules/racks.

I'm attempting to upgrade my Jobekys into 3 zones, it's not going well but I'm not giving up. Message me on greasy.bumpkin@gmail.com if you want and we can trade edrumin tips for this brand.

Nice kit. So how many eDRUMins do you have? It looks like we have similar amounts of equipment and I’m running four them with all inputs used.

Thanks. It's just one edrumin, all the other triggers are running off Megadrum at the moment, I don't know if you've ever tried this module but it's very difficult to configure, hence I started this thread because I think I could spend less time messing around on MD and more time playing.
