I’ve had an old CY-15R which has been doing exactly this behaviour for ages. I don’t have a Roland module any more to test it against the eDRUMin, so I put it down to age. I opened it up and cleaned the edge sensor but nothing changed.

When the bell sound gets stuck on the edge,...
The issue has nothing to do with the edge sensor. The bell articulation was often triggered by (hard) bow strokes.
It's a software bug and fixed in build 14.

So that be the same problem I’m having with the CY-15R. I can’t imagine the fix for a 13” pad would necessarily work with a 15”.

I'm sure it works for any 2-cabled 3-zone cymbal pad. Just test build 14 and you'll see that the issue is gone.

I could only get v.16 of the beta and unfortunately, the random bell-trigger on the edge is still a problem. I guess my CY-15R is old and the switches don’t work as accurately any more. I’ll retire it to a crash role when the GEWA 18” turns up.

The v.14 or v.16 update (which fixes the issue of bell notes from bow hits) won't fix the edge of a faulty cymbal pad.

I haven't a clue how the Roland cymbals wear over time apart from the rubber 'dust' on the edge building up. I guess it must be a switch problem then for me. Anyway, the GEWA 18" has just arrived so I'll have to see how that works under the Yamaha pad setting.
