using ED with lemon T950
Re: using ED with lemon T950
Unlikely. Bell sense needs custom algorithms to support specific cymbals.
Re: using ED with lemon T950
I just got myself a T950 kit and dual ED8's.. I haven't had any luck so far with the 13" cymbals on bell sense, but I have yet to dig into the trigger settings for those.. I think the 15" crash is wired like a ride (2xTRS jacks), so that may be better option for bell usage. As for me, at this point I'm trying to get the Hi-hat's working well. I tend to do a lot of Hat "splash/catches" (Think Tom Sawyer from Rush or the Train cover of Umbrella - not sure what the correct term for that technique is) where the stick hits the open and then clamps down on it like a cymbal catch.. So if anyone has any tips for that Lemon hat I'd much appreciate it. So far I quite like the Lemon kit and it is a lot less expensive than a Roland, however, I expect we'll need to put in some sweat equity to make it perform well.

You might want to check out build 2.3.0.8 linked on the first page of the BETA thread. It has some hihat improvements for doing hihat barks.
Re: using ED with lemon T950
hi Danno... will u be kind enough to share ur experiences bout how 13" Lemon snare with positional sensing from ED8? Is it supported? accurate enough? worth to try? Still waiting for T950 available on my hometown, but i already had an old Dtx720 kit tho, been dreaming bout having a cheap alternative for VAD706 triggering SD3 (if i may). thanks in advanceDanno wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 12:27 amI just got myself a T950 kit and dual ED8's.. Re: using ED with lemon T950
I haven't had a lot of time to tweak the kit enough to say it's anywhere near dialed in, but I do have some positional sensing on the snare - I think it can be better, but I have no frame of reference as I don't have a Roland pad - I only have old Pintech Concertcast single zone pads. I'll try to export what I have so far to the preset sharing thread.
I'm starting to tinker with using my DTXm12 as a backup unit in case the PC I have running AD2 dies in the middle of a show. Since that unit only has a binary hihat setup, I'd like to see if I can "hack" it with the EDrumin hi-hat levels feature. That'd be sweet as the hi-hat is the main thing that doesn't work well going direct input on the yamaha.
So much good stuff to say about the Edrumin.. my biggest complaint is that I didn't grab an ED10 when they were available. @Rob - Thanks for the tip on the update.. Hi-Hat "Barks" are much better now. Electronic Hi-hats are still finicky business in general though.. I'd say it's 80% of my configuration headaches so far with this kit. I'll be gigging with it this coming weekend though, so wish me luck!

Re: using ED with lemon T950
Hi Danno, thans for ur reply, sorry for my late respond (I believe I replied last night...but dunno ..its not updated i guess)
Yes, after some time exploring it...certainly ED8 is an amazing little tool, tho I'm a little surprised to realize that in my country there is very little information about ED users, it seems I haven't yet found the right community here or maybe I should start one myself? This tool is too amazing not to be known...
However, looks like you are much luckier than me... I am still waiting for my TD950 which is probably still adrift in the China sea.... Ya Rabb, I hope they are okay...
But I did have try connecting the ED8 with several pads tho, such as the XP80SD which until now cannot produce positional sensing no matter how much I try
instead I managed to get 3 zones for XP70 which is actually just a single zone pad on the SD3 and positional sensing on the NUX 10” snare...Tho still get center articulation in the edge area at the 6 o'clock position (maybe because the piezo isn't really placed in the center, right?)...also it works well on PCY155 and added bell zone for 12" NUX dual zone crash
Hey...Did you manage to get positional sensing for 18" lemon ride cymbal as mentioned in the manual? maybe it will trigger tip and shank articulations on the bow and on the bell? Do we have to use two connectors? I can only guessing here....Oh my goodness....
I also plan to share everything when the TD950 is in front of me... Wish me luck, okay?

Re: using ED with lemon T950
Hi All...need a litle assist here...
Does anyone knows how to create LOG1/LOG2 curve in EDC... trying to get a smooth, realistic velocity response with SD3.. after managed all articulations triggered (still not perfect tho... at least its a starting point)
Thanks 4 ur shares n cares, hopefully it is blessed
