Well I bought the drum-tec inlay, it's made of soft rubber not foam about 4mm thick and doesn't seem to compress, it reduces the loudness by around 50% I'd say, I can't hear the clomp through my headphones and triggering seems better than the window foam I was using initially.

ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
Re: ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
Yep- decompressed, dragged to my desktop then tried dragging to the eDrumin app presets wondow. Big white bar at the bottom of the screen with 'error' written across it.
Re: ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
I made it with the beta version 2, which version are you using?
Re: ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
The earlier version. I didn't want to go beta until I knew it was going to be ok.
Maybe that saved presets are not back compatible then!
Any chance you could screen shot and share your pad and pedal settings ? I'm struggling a bit with the hats. They're close but at a bit of a dead end with getting them perfect.

There have been significant improvements to the hihat implementation. If you are having issues, your best option is to update to the beta, which has been well tested over the past few months already.

Ok will update this evening
Re: ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
My preset is for the cymbal part only, it’s not for the pedal part since that depends on many factors like space between top and bottom, calibration range, spring tension, playing style, etc.
Re: ATV 14" Hihat with edrumin 10
After hours of tinkering with a laptop that didn't want to update I finally managed to install the new firmware and can confirm that the hi hat is so much better than it was. My ATV is triggering brilliantly. I think a bit of fine tuning and I'll be confident enough to take the kit out to see how it fares at a gig
