Re: Choking Alesis cymbals
aaah thats super useful....
I was sort of on the road to figuring it out though. I have it working in SSD5.5 and did figure out it works on an aftertouch message. I was just about to load my EZdrummer and try get it to work on there so you have just saved me a load of time!!
As I say, I have SSD 5.5 chokes working so ill go and try this now. Thanks again!
Oh and to matey who started the topic (I cant remember his name sorry!), ill post my settings for my cymbals in a sec when its working.

Yeah, ok I have sorted it thanks to the person who posted below me - god, im aweful at looking and remembering names sorry!
Works perfectly now - I just hat to go to advanced view and click on the choke mdidi number to turn off choke by note and switch on aftertouch. Works perfectly now. Such an incredibly easy solution. I find because iv not had the edrumin all that long I click on stuff by accident and opnly then realise its something thats changeable. Very cool, advanced piece of software. It never fails to amaze me!
Cheers again Rob.
I posted my ride cymbal settings for the guy who started the post. You really just need to go to the bottom right hand corner and make sure the choke midi number is greyed out.

Lol, I sort of stumbled upon that today by coincidence trying to set up my new ride.
Glad it sorted out for you (us)!
