No... what is being said is to use the drum map as much as you can. For your extra toms and cymbals you have to manually set them. Set the eDRUMin to the note already assigned to the drum in AD.

If in AD the drum center articulation is set to A#1 then set eDRUMin to A#1.

Why not set I manually within AD? That’s what I do for SD3. Is that the wrong way to do it?

It is handy. Based on your setup and sdx libraries it will take some tweaking. I like to make presets for each library I own. I use the drum map then further tweak the settings in SD3.
