eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
If I understand the Controlling Banks with MIDI Program Change Messages section in the manual correctly I think it needs some love for the ED10.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Low priority issue...
In the controller app on the Pedal Editor the Advanced Option label appears in places where there are no advanced options.

Thank-you. Fixed for the next build.

I'll look into it, but if I recall, I developed that with ED10 in mind. Are you just talking about an issue with the manual?Mylo wrote:If I understand the Controlling Banks with MIDI Program Change Messages section in the manual correctly I think it needs some love for the ED10.

Yes just the manual.Rob wrote:I'll look into it, but if I recall, I developed that with ED10 in mind. This sentence:
If you hit a pad connected to input 1, then input becomes the selected input.
Should be:
If you hit a pad connected to input 1, then input 1 becomes the selected input.
And aren’t these number specific to the device either the 4 or the 10?

Sorry... I should have noted that the image was just one example. The label was in several places. If that matters.Rob wrote:Thank-you. Fixed for the next build.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Thank-you. I fixed the the manual issues too. I quickly had a look at the firmware code for the bank changes, and noticed that I didn't have any error checking in there. Currently if you send your message on channel 11, for example, the device will try to comply and ultimately produce some undefined behavior. I fixed that as well.
Re: eDRUMin 1.3 BETA now available (again)
Hi Rob,
is there any way for you to find out if I might have a hardware problem
with the two Edrumins 4 I have? any Test-Idea?
- no splash possible in build 20,
- the tips with copying working the settings on other edrumins did not solve the problem
- if I get a seldom trigger of the splash sound A#1 it is very short (< 100ms)
- no change of any setting (travel, splash sens., x-talk, gain ) change that behaviour
many hours of testing no success or any change of that problem.
...
Regards,
Peter

Might as well get these while you’re in there.
A connected sustain pedal or dual footswitch is perfect for controlling banks of notes. If your pedal input is being used by a hihat controller, you can still configure a 3rd party MIDI device to send program changes into the eDRUMin via its USB port.
The MIDI Channel of the program change message determines which input should change its bank. The value of the program change says how the bank should change.

I just tested on ED4 and my VH-10, and all is good. I would look at your physical setup of your hihat.pwohlfah wrote:Hi Rob,

1. Setup your hats so that there is about 1-2cm of travel.
2. When your foot is off the pedal, make sure the bottom of the VH-11 is just barely making contact with the plunger. That's what the little knob on top of cymbal is for.
