Also, all 3 cymbals seem to trigger the bow a lot of the time I hit the edge.
Can I get you to capture some data for me? Make sure auto-select is on. If you right click on the eDRUMin logo 5 time, and then left click on it once, a record button appears over the velocity curve area. Press the record button and hit the edge of one of your troublesome cymbals about 20 times (capturing the false triggering about 10 times should do). Then press the record button again and a file called ED_Data.hex will appear on your desktop. You can email it to support at audiofront dot net and I'll take a look at what's going on.

of course. sent you 1 file with the Miss-Triggerings and chokes, and one after a Downgrade to the old Firmware (consistently triggering the Edge of the Cymbal correctly).

I can confirm there is a bug with choking. I'm pretty sure I've resolved it with build 5. I'll post build that once I get confirmation from vandroiy that the issue is resolved.

Hi,
A nice future visual feature may be the possibility to rename pads and cymbals. Like in this image:

But with a better design ;-)

Concerning issue with choke, I had it a several times with my 2 PCY155. But I didn't try yet the new BETA firmware.

Not a bad idea, but transfering text between the device and the UI is very inefficient. If the user instead selected a name for the pad from a list possible names, that would be doable.

And maybe keep'em simple, like :
- Pads: S1, S2, T1, T2, T3, T4, K
- Cymbals: HH, R1, R2, C1, C2, C3

I could even have a corresponding image to go with the text.

Changes in Build 7
  • A possible fix for reports of unintentional choking on cymbals
  • Numerous UI improvements to reduce CPU usage.
