Why not do this:

Code: Select all

Triggers -> eDRUMin USB MIDI -> Drum Laptop
-> eDRUMin MIDI Din OUT -> M-Audio MIDISport IN -> DAW Laptop

I have some other MIDI events going on in the laptop that I need to send across so makes sense to funnel them into one cable.

That's probably something OP ought to do with a MIDI merger though.

This was/is my original idea that I will test once I authorize SD3 for the Drum laptop.
I assume this suggestion has the lowest latency since the source midi is going directly to the corresponding computers.

Some may have seen this post on Vdrums about MIDI DIN vs MIDI USB:https://bit.ly/373GxGT
There may be a 1ms or so difference using the DIN cables.

In the same thread - some doubt the reliability using 4-eDRUMIN units at the same time.
