Settings for roland kt 10

No not yet ! I will receive the edruming in 2 days.
I was reading the manual and i had no idea of the type of pad i have to select for the kt10.

Just received my eDRUMin!

If we plugged in a Roland KT-10 and didn't know which option to choose, so we swapped between the 8 options available, is this likely to have damaged either the eDRUMin or the KT-10? I've since noticed the warnings in the manual about "before you plug in a pad, adjust this setting ... [otherwise it] can put strain on the ring piezo," precautions about "protecting your pads."

To be honest, it would be extremely unlikely for any pad to be damaged by the eDRUMin. For switch based pads, the eDRUMin applies about 1V DC to the ring of the TRS connector in order to read the switch. That's a pretty small amount of current and probably wouldn't do any damage if applied to a piezo/piezo pad, but I think it's better to be safe than sorry. And out of an abundance of caution, the eDRUMin also checks to make sure a piezo isn't connected to the ring before applying the 1V, so there's really little be be worried about.

In the case of the KT-10, there's nothing connected to the ring-- no piezo and no switch, so there's absolute zero chance of it getting damaged.

Nice, thanks, Rob. It still works great - so I wasn't too worried, but thought I'd ask. Sounds like you've really covered your bases!
