Post by SkATAN »

Just wondering if there´s a timeframe on when the eDRUMin 10 will be back in stock? I was about to order one

I am not planning to produce any more eDRUMin 10. It's going to be replaced by an eDRUMin 12, which unfortunately is still about 3 to 6 months away (parts are getting difficult to source again). I'll post more information about the new device in the coming weeks.

Thanks for quick response :)
Unfortunately I can’t wait that long so ordered a 4 and 8.

I really like that you’re doing 12 instead of 10 going forward!😃 because the 8 - 10 gap is too small.

Here's a question based on admittedly limited knowledge of coding and microprocessors, but the though occurred to me (and I'm sure others as well), but why not use something like Raspberry Pi5 as your microcontroller and alleviate some ongoing supply chain issues? With as powerful as the RPi is, it may unlock the possibility for other useful features on eDrumin. Would your code need to be totally revamped to work on the RPi platform? Just a thought...

I don't have a supply issue. I'm just transitioning to ED12. I managed to secure all the parts so it'll probably be available in 10 weeks or so.

A quick check and I see a RPi5 is about $100.
Add to that the I/O for 12 inputs, MIDI, a case for it all and the software. All of it will make the eDRUMin unit much more expensive, and a lot of the RPi functions will not be used. So, that's quite the waste to go that way.

Is there a way I can set an alert for when the 12 is available? I definitely want to get one once it's released

You can sign up for notifications for ED10 availability. When my batch of ED12 come in, I'll send a notices to that list.

Hey, Rob. Can you give us an estimate of how much the ED12 should cost or not yet?
