Kick pedal question

Hi!
I'm about to buy an edrumin, but had a question first. A kick pedal is just a regular trigger, right? I'm planning on getting the edrumin 4 and want to use one input for a kick pedal trigger, and another for a hi hat pedal. I have a midi controller with pads that I'll use for all the other drums, but want to be able to integrate kick and hi hat controls (without having to take up the space in my studio of a full electronic drum kit). I see that the model four just has one pedal input, so wanted to confirm before I pull the trigger (drum pun!) that I can use a kick and hi hat pedal at the same time with that model.

Yes, the kick is treated exactly the same as any other pad - snare, tom, etc.

You plug it into one of the standard ports - not the pedal port.

For that case, I suggest you look at KAT pedals. Easy to move and hook up.
