Is it possible to take the USB output from an Alesis Sample Pad Pro and plug it into the eDRUMin 10, then run that into my computer to map everything on my VDrums, (EZdrummer 3)?
Would love to be able to use all 8 pads and the 2 triggers from the Sample Pad with it. Nice and clean...
Let me know.
Alesis Sample Pad Pro to eDRUMin 10?
Re: Alesis Sample Pad Pro to eDRUMin 10?
I'm not sure what the question is.
Do you have a kit attached to the inputs of ED10, and want to connect the Sample Pad to add more pads/fx/backing tracks/etc?
If so, then yes, the MIDI will pass through.
If it's just the MIDI from the Sample Pad, and nothing on the ED10, you can't use the app of the ED10 to adjust anything once it's translated into MIDI data.

You can plug the Alesis into the the host port of the ED10 and it will forward all the MIDI from the Sample Pad Pro to you computer along with the ED10 MIDI, but only MIDI. I suspect you would also be able to trigger samples on the Sample Pad from the ED10, but you'd have to check the Sample Pad manual to be sure.

Yeah, I want all the samples coming from EZDrummer on the computer so the Alesis is just additional triggers basically.
I have the eDRUMin on the way from you so I can't just test it myself.
Thank you!

This is the setup the way I "Think" it will work...
