TranslationIs there any reason the USB host port on the eDrumin 10 shouldn't work as if directly connected to the computer? I have an Alesis Strike Multipad that I was hoping to only have to USB in to the eDrumin 10 USB Host port. If I do, midi from the Multipad is passed through as expected. The Multipad is seen by the edrumin as well.
However, the Multipad supports Audio over USB. I have the following setup.
Multipad --usb--> eDrumin10 --usb--> Macbook ----> SD3
I want to be able to send audio from SD3 back to the Multipad so I can include the rest of my drums in the Multipad looper. The problem is the Macbook and SD3 do not see the Multipad as an audio device unless I plug the Multipad into the computer directly or through a separate USB hub. That is what Ive resigned to do at the moment as it works as expected. I would love to not have to have the extra USB hub in the mix though.
Any thoughts? Am I expecting something that shouldn't work?
