eDRUMin MIDI in question

Post by Drummerboy426 »

Hello all, I’ve been doing research on these products in order to expand my diy acoustic to electronic conversion. I am currently running an Roland module into a DAW and only using the module to transmit the MIDI signal to my computer. I’m not using my Roland module for any sounds or anything like that. If I understand this right, and I’m not sure I do, I can use the MIDI OUT from my Roland drum module and go into the MIDI IN on the edrumin module and use it like an expansion of what I already have, then run MIDI out from the edrumin to my DAW effectively daisy chaining the Roland and edrumin. Is that right? Sorry if this has been answered or anything, I tried for hours using the search bar in the forum and digging through posts but didn’t really see anything about this. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can connect the two units as described. You actually have several options. Which Roland module do you have and which eDRUMin device where you interested in?

I have a Roland TD11, and I was interested in the edrumin 8.
