Translationit's so great to see this project and community alive and developing. I'm using my edrumin10 for 3 years now and am very happy with it!
My question: Is there a way that edrumin could output the hihat pedal information as different note values instead of cc when the hihat is played?
E.g. via 6 adjustable zones, which would split the pedal travel from 'tightly closed' -> 'closed' -> 'open1' -> 'open2' -> 'open3' -> 'open4' (fully open) and as a result output 6 different (adjustable) notes per hihat zone. Without the need for a 3rd party software tool.
The background is that lately I've been shifting my workflow to a daw-less setup, using a native instruments maschine+ as the heart of my workflow. It helps me to be more creative when I can leave my laptop closed and focus on music creation after long hours of work.
I can use the edrumin to trigger drum sounds on the hardware, no problem (and with the auto sampler function it's possible to transform my favorite vsti drum sounds to the integrated sampler, so soundwise it's fantastic).
The only thing that doesn't work is the hihat pedal because hihat cc interpretation doesn't seem to work on the maschine, unfortunately.
I know this is quite a big feature to ask for..
But it would be absolutely fantastic if edrumin could be used with this hardware sampler.
