Problem with Lemon 18" ride & SD3

Post by clmntgbrk »

Hi,
i have a problem with the lemon 18" ride in connection with SD3 via a Edrumin4.
I found the preset for it and got it connected with two stereo cable but :
- there's only a main bell zone,
-occasionnally i trigger the rim of it, and it's a china

Other presets for cymbals just have it silent. Anybody had this problem ?

Thanks if anyone can help...

Sounds like one of your connections isn't good. I suggest getting it to work with a single input first (dual zone cymbal pad type). Make sure you can trigger bow and edge.

When I first installed a Lemon 18" three-zone, I had a problem like what you describe and after an hour of fiddling I was about to call it a hardware problem and send it back. Just for kicks, I started over from scratch, but this time I *reset both ED10 ports connect to the cymbal* and then it worked fine. I cannot understand why it would have been messed up, but maybe changing two previously-configured 2-zone inputs to a 2-input 3-zone trigger without resetting the configuration left it in a really weird state.

I will say that there was no information to debug this - I was looking for zone-specific trigger waveforms, and I guess for a 3-zone that just does not exist.

Anyway, try resetting the config of the inputs you're using and see if it helps.

Not sure if it will help, but I had to do this to mine to fix the zone issue
