Hi all,
I know that the above is officially an unsupported device and the notes do mention spurious bow send when striking the bell, but I wonder if anyone is using the 18" or 20" 3 zone LV ride by Jobeky and if so, whether they would be kind enough to share their settings with me.
It's running on 2 cables, with appropriate gain and threshold settings. I've reduced the Edge scaler to 0.5, and the Bell Scaler is currently at around 4.5 but I'm still getting spurious edge sends when using the bow and bell - not many, but enough to be mildly annoying.
Everything else (except the hi-hats which are still being run on my Crimson II module) is triggering really well, just this piece of the jigsaw to figure out for now.
Many thanks in advance,
Rik

WHEN WILL EDRUMIN10 BE AVAILABLE?
Re: Jobeky 3 Zone Low Volume Ride
Perfect place for asking, and all in capital letters...
You'll need to be patient alas, the chip shortage that Edrumin suffer from seems to continue. Rob announced october 2023 (yes sadly 2023).

Have no idea...but I doubt that particular response is going to help get my Jobeky LV ride triggering perfectly with my eDRUMin10!

Metal cymbals for electric drum modules are always going to be a compromise. The produce a lot a high frequency content that is hard to deal with. You can try adding 30K resistors in series with the peizos. That will help preserve more of the low frequency content from the signal, but I can't promise that will help.

Re: Jobeky 3 Zone Low Volume Ride
Hi Rob,
many thanks for taking the time to answer my question and I understand that sometimes things are not as simple as we may hope.
I had noticed that I'm getting much better responses as my accuracy and technique with the metal ride improves with far fewer errant/ghost triggers than at first so I think I'll persevere for the time being, and perhaps make the suggested mod if things continue to be an irritant!
Can any kind of dampening assist in this?
Many thanks,
Rik
