availability of the trigger i/o?

Post by bpjacobsen »

Just wondering why there is such a long delay in availability for the eDrumin boxes. Especially the 10 which says August 2023! The 4 says Oct 2022 which is a little more reasonable but still, a pretty long wait. Is there some sort of problem with production or funding? Or why the long delay? Just really anxious to get one of these. It's exactly what I need to complete my setup.

The issue is component shortages.

bp, I'm glad you found the eDRUMin product page.

I told you that the 4 input version will meet your needs with even ports to spare.

Now, if you want to move away from your Strike module, then yes, the 10-input version makes more sense.

There is still a delay in the world due to component parts, from programming chips for on-board car dashes and yes, eDRUMin units, to bicycle components like shifters and stuff. I have a lot of friends who can't ride their bicycle and are crying now. The whole world is hurting, and it will take a while before production ramps up to fulfill demand.

Hang on!
You did find the good stuff, but the timing is not so good. It will come back soon.
In the mean time, keep drumming!

Yes sir, I guess it's easy to forget the state of turmoil the world is in until you need something that falls under that realm of shortages. It's a damn shame really but I guess it can certainly be much worse than having to wait til October for a quality product. Thanks for the reminder.

It's extremely frustrating for me. The part I'm waiting on was ordered and paid for in February 2021.

Yeah, that is the worst. That stinks.
