Hey everyone,
I just recently got a Roland TD17-KVX and I play it through Addictive Drums 2. I've found that its not exactly as Dynamic as I hoped it would be, especially on the Crash and Snare.
I was wondering how do I take full advantage of its Velocity and Dynamic range, and if eDRUMin could help me out?
I have it on a low Sensitivity with a low Threshold at the minute, is that the right way to do it?
I seem to be getting some machine gunning with the hits all in red at 127 its very frustrating. Its the same on both AD2 and Logic's Native Drum Kits.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Re: Roland TD17-KVX not Dynamic enough?
Too funny. Roland customers coming here for support. I honestly have never used a real Roland module before. I can tell you that eDRUMin is all about dynamics, and more importantly, it's geared towards playing with VSTs.
Re: Roland TD17-KVX not Dynamic enough?
Thanks for the reply. This is my first Roland Kit I have bought so not coming here as a Roland fanboy or anything haha!
I plan on only using this kit with VSTs so I think eDRUMin is ideal for me.
Would eDRUMin give the kit a more dynamic range when used with AD2. I would be pretty confident that it would fix any of the machine gunning issues im having.
Do you have any idea when they are back in stock, and do you post to Ireland?

Re: Roland TD17-KVX not Dynamic enough?
I have a TD-17 kit plus module and a eDRUMin. All of pads are connected to the eDRUMin because I prefer the eDRUMin‘a triggering. I’m not saying the Roland was bad, but the eDRUMin is better. More flexible and capable. I do have two cymbal pads connected to TD-17 aux and crash 2 inputs. I can do swells and have dynamic play on those pads.
On AUX a CY5 is installed. Trigger settings are sensitivity 8, Threshold 13 and Curve Linear. Scan Time 2.0, retrig cancel 5, mask time 10 and xtalk cancel 25. Rim gain is 1.1.
On CR2 a CY12C is installed. Sensitivity is 7, threshold 14, curve linear, scan time 2, retrig cancel 6, mask time 10, and xtalk cancel 25. Rim gain 0.8.

TD-17KVX, PD-125BK snare, PDX-100 Tom, PDX-12 Toms, PDX-8 Toms, CY-5 splash, CY-15R ride, CY-13R China. eDRUMin 10 with TD-17 slave module. MacBook Pro (16gb RAM and 1TB SSD). SSD5.5 and EZD2. Abelton Live.

Cool sounds good. Did you find that eDRUMin made your hits more sensitive/wider in terms of dynamics?
I sometimes run into machine gunning when using TD17 module in Addictive Drums 2!
