The problem is, if a wanna cancel out the false sidestick trigger I have the enlarge the
yellow area in the rimshot range control, that leads to a hardly triggerable rimshot.
Could it be a bad piezo or whatever hardware issue.
Or does the head piezo need vibes from the shell, so it's isolated to well?
Thank you so far, and have a good sleep!
I have some time left today to test some more, but as you say, I dont now what ... as-well.
head/rim adjustment / rim sensitivity / rimshot range control
Re: head/rim adjustment / rim sensitivity / rimshot range control
You don't want isolation. The velocities for each articulation are ultimately calculated from the head sensor.
Re: head/rim adjustment / rim sensitivity / rimshot range control
Hi, basically I notice this an every pad.
If I hit them near the edge, the indicator in the rimshot range control jumps to right, out of the
yellow rectangle.
Hits on the center are fine.
When I drag the yellow, green limit further to the right, I catch those edge hits, but it's very difficult
to trigger a rimshot.
The snare is the drum where this notable the most. On the toms I hit the edge accidently only. But I could get along without a rimshot.
Is there any way to avoid that behavior?

Re: head/rim adjustment / rim sensitivity / rimshot range control
Your asking me a question I cannot answer. You're the one designing the pad.
Re: head/rim adjustment / rim sensitivity / rimshot range control
No, I am not designing something, I am just watching YouTube vids.
It's only the DIY snare.
Anyway, I would like to ask: What could be wrong, so that eDRUMin says that's a
sidestick even it's a hit at the edge of the head?
I mean, I noticed I could shift the limits
of the rimshot range control with a set of resistors, e.g. 150kohms parallel to the piezos.
But basically that only shifts the limit to left or right.
