Concerning possible use (and purchase) of MIDI Expression dongle

I have a mini key Akai LPK25 & Synthstation25 keyboards with no sustain pedal inputs. These controllers are playing softsynth plug-ins in Logic, MainStage or GarageBand environments live. Using MIDI Expression, should I at the very least be able to route a M-Audio sustain pedal to the DAW to control basic sustain functions?

I also have a several M-Audio keyboard midi controllers with no expression pedal input and would like to route my Yamaha FC7 expression pedals (same DAW environments as above) to control various midi parameters, volume and filter cutoff being high on my priorities (midi-learn is available in many of my plug-ins). Again is this the type of thing MIDI expression was designed for?

Yes, absolutely.

Yup, MIDI Expression is quite at home in the DAW environment.

Thanks for the quick response Rob. I'll be ordering as soon as I finish this note.
